The 88th Academy Awards: Best Dressed at the Oscars
Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett and Charlize Theron
The 88th Academy Awards hosted by the hilariously entertaining Chris Rock at the Dolby Theatre came and went with the usual star studded ultra-glamor. Here are our favorite’s looks of the evening!
Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture
Rooney Mara who was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role showed off some skin in a sheer lace Givenchy Haute Couture dress with peek-a-boo detail and Fred Leighton Jewelry a bold. She finished her look with a bold red lip and clean and simple hair up do.
Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive
At first glance Cate Blanchett’s floral applique, feather and crystal adorned Armani Prive dress seemed to be a lot of dress but then the realization hit that Cate is STUNNING and there isn’t much that this 6 time Oscar nominee and 2 time Oscar winner couldn’t pull off! She topped off her look with exquisite platinum drop earrings with marquise and round diamonds from the 2016 Tiffany Blue Book Collection. She also wore a platinum Starfish cuff with round diamonds and a 2.30-carat diamond ring from the same Tiffany & Co collection.
Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture
Some say a red dress on the red carpet is a faux pas but Charlize Theron proved them wrong in an elegantly sexy plunging V-neck Dior Haute Couture dress with a mini train. She paired her look with fabulous Harry Winston jewelry including a diamond crusted necklace that fell perfectly in her plunging v décolletage.
Rachel McAdams and Saoirse Ronan
The two green goddesses Rachel McAdams and Saoirse Ronan got our runner up best dressed votes for their beautiful backless gowns by August Getty Atelier (McAdams) and Calvin Klein Collection (Ronan) gowns!
