New York Fashion Week Recap: The Trends to Know
Another season has come and gone, and although we are looking ahead to spring we can’t help but crush on the newest looks from this past week’s Fall/Winter 2018 New York Fashion Week. The runways this year were full of show stopping looks, and very bold trends. Today we’ll be sharing three of our favorite trends from the upcoming season and how you can wear them yourself with the help of Michael’s.
Think Pink
Move over millennial pink, it’s fuschia turn. Fuschia was seen all over the runways at Alexander Wang, Ulla Johnson,Tory Burch, and Prabal Gurung. This vibrant color was used in outerwear, statement dresses, and even socks. Not a fan of pink? Incorporate a pink detail into your look with an accessory or shoe.

Maximalism
In a direct swing from right to the left, minimalists begone! For this trend, the more is most certainly the merrier. Let your personality shine through your style with fearless patterns, oversized layers, and bright accessories. This is a great opportunity to have some extra fun while getting dressed in the morning, and don’t be afraid to mix in match prints that are in the same color story. Animal print, fringe, and fierce patterns are all great ways to try out this trend (we dare you to try out them all at once!). Anything goes!

Disco Ball Silver
It’s time to sparkle in this bold trend. Silver sequins aren’t just for New Year’s Eve anymore! Dust off those metallics from this past holiday season because you’ll be wearing them again sooner than you think. A little too much for your taste? We suggest a sparkly silver statement earring instead.
