Looking back on the 64 years of Michael’s history, I am amazed that the years have gone so fast. I worked alongside my Dad for many years until his death in 1992. Some of you might remember him and Cynthia, Annette, Judy, Deborah and the many other wonderful employees who passed through our doors. Each in their way, brought something to the party and added to the upbeat and professional atmosphere we are known for.
The Spring 2018 Trends to Start Wearing Now
Although we have had a lot of gross winter weather and bouts of “thundersnow” here in NYC lately, we are looking ahead to spring. Michael’s is starting to be filled to the brim with airy floral dresses, lightweight jackets, and gorgeous sandals - now is the time to bring us your most fashionable spring consignment! The flowers will soon be blooming in nearby Central Park and we are ready to start dressing for those Sunday park strolls. Let’s get to shopping ladies!

We are leaving our wonderful home of 64 years and moving north to a fabulous ground floor location, 4 blocks up on Madison. 1041 Madison provided an excellent environment during our formative years and a wonderful place to grow up and mature. Now that we have become a destination business with clients and consignors from around the world, it is time to take our place at street level on Madison Avenue so we can better serve our clientele.

Christian Dior Couturier Du Reve
Tammy and I recently had the extreme pleasure of attending the Christian Dior exhibition at the Musée des Art Décoratifs in Paris. The exhibit celebrated 70 years of The House of Dior. The exhibition runs from July 5, 2017 through January 7, 2018. Clearly Mr. Dior was the star but the supporting cast of Yves Saint Laurent, Grazia Chiuri, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano and Raf Simons could not be ignored.
